CRBC Bike Rack Makes Debut

The new CRBC bike bike rack has been installed on Beaver Ave. in front of Panera. Here's CRBC president Rick Gilmore's announcement:
Dave Hill did an enormous amount of work to get the funds, secure Borough approval, help determine a location, design the lettering, and order this new rack. Thanks also go to Mark Whitfield and Ed Holmes with the Borough of State College for their help in making this project happen. A special note of appreciation goes to the Borough's Public Works staff who got the rack ready for display on Bike To Work Day on incredibly short notice. We're hoping that this will be the first of many more "fun" bike racks around the area. Our plan for next year is to have a design contest, probably involving the area's school-age children, and have the winning design built and ready for installation during National Bike Month. If you would like to contribute to this project -- financially or as a volunteer -- please let us know. And, in the meantime, enjoy the new rack.
