Approximately 25 riders, including two SCPD bicycle police officers joined the Ride of Silence May 17 to honor cyclists who have been
killed or injured while riding on public roadways.
The ride helped raise
awareness that cyclists have a legal right to
use our roads and that safely sharing those roads
is the responsibility of all. Ride of Silence events took place simultaneously in hundreds of cities around the world. CRBC plans to make the ride an annual Bike Week event.
