Centre Gives
Thank you, generous Centre Region bicycle lovers.
We’ve raised $1,775 from 25 donors to further cycling in the area. We’ll be able to expand our light giveaway, add to our educational programs, and provide more match to support to local cycling infrastructure projects. You have made a difference.
Bicycle Friendly America
Did you know the State College-Centre Region is recognized nationally by the League of American Bicyclists as a Bicycle Friendly Community? CentreBike played a significant role in the community earning this status. Since our inception in 2000, CentreBike has been a voice for cyclists and a driving force in making bicycling safer in our community.
With CentreBike’s encouragement, Penn State earned a silver Bicycle Friendly University award and nine State College businesses have been recognized as a Bicycle Friendly Business:

- Eddie’s Bicycles & Hockey Equipment
- Freeze Thaw Cycles
- KCF Technologies, Inc.
- Millbrook Marsh Nature Center

If your company is interested in becoming a BFB, CentreBike is happy to assist – just ask! There are four application rounds a year, and the next one closes on June 15th.
The BFB program recognizes employers’ efforts to encourage a more bicycle-friendly atmosphere for employees and customers. The program honors innovative bicycle-friendly efforts, provides technical assistance and helps businesses foster a healthier workplace and become more socially and environmentally responsible.
