Sponsored by Penn State’s Eco-Action and the Sierra Club’s Moshannon Group, Centre region high school students as well as Penn State students will collaborate on a series of more than a dozen specific actions that can be taken immediately to impact climate change. Penn State student organizations who have already agreed to participate include: State College Sunrise Group, Penn State Student Farm, Biorenewable Systems Club, Project Paws, UPUA Sustainability, and Eco-Action. From the community, participants include: The Citizen’s Climate Lobby, Penn Environment, Interfaith Power & Light, the Nittany Valley Environmental Coalition, and the Sierra Club.
Climate action stations will be set up in the outdoor area adjacent to the Berkey Creamery. High school students must be accompanied by a school or parent chaperone.
