Cyclists and residents will have an opportunity to comment on a proposed Route 322 project during a public hearing April 7!
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration will hold the hearing on Tuesday, April 7 at Calvary Church – Harvest Fields, 150 Harvest Fields Drive in Boalsburg. Doors open at 4 p.m., and the public hearing begins at 5 p.m.
The hearing is part of a 45-day public comment period on the project’s Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS), which runs till April 20.
The proposed State College Area Connector would be an approximately 8-mile, four-lane limited-access highway connecting the Mount Nittany Expressway near Boalsburg to U.S. 322 at Potters Mills.
Residents can sign up to provide five-minute testimony at the hearing. Written comments will also be accepted by completing a comment form at the hearing, submitting online through the project website, or sending letters or emails to PennDOT Engineering District 2, 70 PennDOT Drive, Clearfield, PA 16830, Attention: Eric Murnyack, or emurnyack@pa.gov
