- Tim will hold a biking class during bike month – he is unsure of the details right now
Penn State – Cecily
- Bike in Community Wednesday from 4-6pm 4/10/19 on campus
- Bike to Work Week promotion – variable message boards to be on campus
State College Borough
- Transportation meeting on 4/9/19 @ 12:15pm discussing possible E-Bike ordinance
- Jasmine is working on Bike Month activities and events with Trish and Matt
- Survey for Biking in the Centre Region is on the Engage State College website
CRBAC
- Next meeting April 30th from 4:30pm – 5:30pm – ZOOM conference for those who cannot make it. Will be at the Land and Water Research Building
- Agenda template was sent out on April 5th
Updates
- Videon Party – Bicycle Friendly Business Happy Hour
- we will have this in lieu of our May 13th Bike Month meeting from 5:30pm – 8:00pm, we will use this as BFB promotion.
- Centre Gives workshops
- Jean has been attending, a way to look for support and funding
- Ride of Silence
- Roy has asked if the police can escort the whole ride since we are paying for 3 hours of intersection crossing assistance
- Currently 74 people signed up
- Roy will have a logo on the back of the trail truck to let people know what the event is and why we are riding
- Bike Month
- Commuter coffees confirmed
- Mayor’s Ride postponed due to logistics – will have in September instead
- Bike and Munch still in the works – please provide recommendations for restaurants
- Variable Message Signs to be place in the Borough during bike month – confirmed
- Engage State College website for Bike Month events in the Centre Region being created
- Make Space Event on March 30th
- Event was good – bike stand from Jim Serene used, people got their bikes fixed
- Will look into using space for May Bike Month event
- Will look into using space for CPI Festival of Trees chain ornament event

- Pedestrian/Cycling routes – Chip No show
- Complete Streets/Vision Zero – Chip No Show
- Snow Clearing for Multi-use paths over by Hills Plaza – Chip No Show
- Proposal to Merge with Centre Bike
- Tanya Hampton asked Centre Bike to be the “umbrella” for the Women’s Cycling Club events. State College Cycling may also be interested in coming under this umbrella. Centre Bike can help provide insurance for rides and events.
- Mountain Biking 101 social – Maryann to Host – April 15th @ 6pm
- For novices, will eventually host a mountain biking class every Monday throughout the summer
- Cycling in Sisterhood – April 29th @ 6pm

- Lots of different speakers
- Would like Centre Bike to have membership information at event
- Tanya will talk to Paul more about having Centre Bike be an umbrella organization to the Women’s Cycling club and the ExCom will decide if they will support or not
- Bike Re-Rack program
- Matt said there are 9 racks available – we need to know where they are needed
- We will look into this more after bike month is fully planned
