Centre Region Council of Government:
Anne is working on grant, Active Transportation Plan, Friday is Ask a Cyclist/Commuter Coffee this Friday, Bike counters happening next week. For 5 years of use it would cost $50,000.
Old Business
State College Area Connector Project Public Hearing:
Chris Murrell made a statement there for CentreBike. Will hold on pushing pending a new update on the project, Matt check-in with Chris.
New Business
Matt made a motion for CentreBike to appoint Karl Ahrendsen to the CentreBike Executive Council. Motion passed by Cox, Rito, Luck, Murrell, and Chernega.
Resolutions: all townships are participating
Centre County Commissioners – will do Bike Month proclamation on 4/28 Willowbank Anne said there will be someone from HVAB and she hopes no more than one from CB who will also make a statement.
Feedback – The Centre Region Employers’ Guide to Bike to Work
Jeff Luck talked about having municipal gov incentivizing businesses to be more bike friendly, like having a good bike rack. Anne said she wasn’t sure how to do that.
Updates
Cargo eBike Library
Karl spoke with Craig at Bike Den and that Craig would be happy to talk with CentreBike.
Karl mentioned 3Dots’ Awesome Grants, which is minimal amount but it’s a start.
Jeff mentioned HVAB and Centre Foundation grants too.
Anne mentioned place in Harrisburg with many bikes but unsure if any are e-cargo bikes. High current gas prices could be a big incentive for folks to borrow these bikes

Karl said News section was confusing and date was incorrect. Jeff asked for CB letterhead. Jeff asked if meeting notice will disappear once it’s passed. Matt said they vanish, but not sure if it is after the event, or at the end of the day
