Treasurer’s Report

  • Balance is $10529.66
  • Spent -$280 on AmerSpec Insurance
  • Spent ~$75 on League of American Cyclists Membership
  • Received +$15 from one membership

Stakeholder Reports
Centre Regional Planning Agency
– Centre Bike reported to Trish Meek, Senior Transportation Planner, that CB voted to provide $300 sponsorship to purchase child’s bike for grand prize of Fit Families Challenge.  Plans for other items,Trish requested CB discuss are: Bike in Movie Event: CB will offer $100 if there is equivalent matching funds.  Autumn offered to help Push the Pedal with promotion by posting on Centre Bike’s Facebook page. Bike Classes: Jim Serene offered to help with a Biking for Boomers class if there is interest at either the Village at Penn State or Liberty Hill retirement Community

Kidical Mass: Date is undecided and CB participation undecided

Ferguson Township soliciting for input on installation of Bike Repair station locations. CB prioritized list of 5 possible locations

Updates
Centre County Visitor’s Bureau -Paul will follow up with Laurie Miller about possible grant to help with GPS ride data.
Ride of Silence
-Saturday, May 18, 2019 – Centre Bike providing sponsorship with insurance support and will help supporting rider’s donating to recoup some costs

Discussion
Jim Serene mentioned the benefit of having a paid intern or such to help with CB efforts.                                                                                                                                                        Michele hopes Centre Bike will have a table again with membership forms, at this year’s Banff Film Fest at the State Theatre on April 12 & 13, 2019. (she can be there on the 13th)                    CVIM Central Cycliing Classic: Jim helped in the past and volunteered to do so again this year

YMCA Cycle-A-Thon Fundraiser on Saturday, Feb 23, 2019 -8am-noon: CB will provide a table display if Y would like. Michele offered to help part of day.      -Josh Stapleton did brief presentation of the Harvest Fields trail project and asked CB to help advertise the next mtg about it on Sunday, February 17 at 16:00 at Calvary Harvest Fields Church in Boalsburg. Autumn will add to CB Facebook, Michele put it on Yammer to PSU Bike Commuters and on the WPSU Community Calendar.
