This is an exciting time for bicycling in the Centre Region. After years of planning, advocacy, and collaboration, several long-awaited bicycle infrastructure projects are moving from ideas on paper to improvements people can see and use. New connections are being built that will make it easier and safer for people to walk, bike, and travel throughout our area, and we’ll be updating this page with photos as construction progresses.
Easterly/Westerly Parkway

Construction is underway on the Easterly and Westerly Parkway Shared-Use Path, which will add 1.6 miles of new pathways for cyclists and pedestrians! When finished, it will provide a continuous, dedicated route from University Drive to Blue Course Drive.

Houserville Road

Another important connection is taking shape along Houserville Road. Construction has begun on the Houserville Road Shared-Use Path, creating a safer route for people walking and bicycling from College Avenue and the Ivy Hill neighborhood to Spring Creek Park. Future Spring Creek Park renovations will include a path along the other side of the tennis courts.

Blue Course Drive

Progress is underway on the new shared-use path at Orchard Park connecting Bayberry to Whitehall Road! Once complete, it will not only provide a much safer, dedicated route for riders, but it will also connect cyclists to Musser Gap and Whitehall Regional Park.

Blue Course/West Campus

More changes along Blue Course, near the golf course on West Campus! No more parking spots, curbs added, and a seamless flow no matter what direction you are going. Completed, minus the landscaping!

Foster Avenue Green Lane

We are absolutely thrilled to see our first green bike lane hitting the pavement. This high-visibility paint isn’t just a fresh coat of color, it’s a major win for cyclist safety, making dedicated bike spaces crystal clear to everyone on the road.
