    Friday September 19, 2025 is Fall Bike Anywhere Friday!
    Ride your bike to work, school, shop, eat, or for fun in the Centre Region and register to WIN a $50 gift card from Two Brothers Bicycle Company.

  • Car Free Day

    CAR-FREE DAY is happening in State College!
    Celebrate Car Free Day on Monday, September 22, by walking, biking, carpooling, or using public transit for a chance to win a $50 Downtown Improvement District gift card! Stop by the outside of Schlow Library (corner of Allen Street and Beaver Avenue) between 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. for a FREE cup of coffee ☕ just for showing up car-free!
     
    How to Participate:
    ✅ Leave the car at home — walk, bike, carpool, or take public transportation (like CATA 🚍) any time between September 22-28.
    ✅ Register your ride to be entered into a drawing for a $50 Downtown Improvement District Gift Card. Multiple rides can be registered.
     
     
    (Use of a Schlow Library event space by individuals or community groups in no way constitutes an endorsement by the Library of the individuals, groups, or their activities.)

  • Community Bike Ride

    On Saturday, September 20, Sustainable State College and the Borough of State College Bicycle Ambassadors will host a 6.7-mile slow-paced family-friendly community bike ride. 🚲
    Participants will gather at the Orchard Park Pavilion by the parking lot at 11 a.m., and the ride will depart at 11:15 a.m. Participants will ride on designated shared-use paths, bike lanes, and bike routes in the Centre Region. All ages and abilities are welcome!
