Community Bike Ride

On Saturday, September 20, Sustainable State College and the Borough of State College Bicycle Ambassadors will host a 6.7-mile slow-paced family-friendly community bike ride. 🚲

Participants will gather at the Orchard Park Pavilion by the parking lot at 11 a.m., and the ride will depart at 11:15 a.m. Participants will ride on designated shared-use paths, bike lanes, and bike routes in the Centre Region. All ages and abilities are welcome!

Ask A Cyclist

Do you have questions about biking in the Centre Region? Do you want to register your bike? Come talk with cyclist about biking in the region, events, and suggestions you may have to make our community more bicycle-friendly. We will have an informational table at the Allen Street Gates on September 12, 2025 from 10am to 2pm. This is a Centre Regional Planning Agency and Penn State Transportation Services event.

Bike Safety Workshop 101

There will be a bike safety 101 class at the Bike Den on September 2nd at 6:15pm. This workshop will teach participants the rules of the road and bike safety skills before bringing the group outside to a beginner-friendly practice course.

All participants must bring a bike and helmet to participate. Participants will receive a free pair of Penn State bike lights.
